FOP Drug Development Forum and Family Gathering Come Together in Orlando

A Special Week of Meetings Further Unites the FOP Community

The FOP community had a busy week of meetings in Orlando, Florida, November 11 to 17.

The International Clinical Council on FOP kicked off the week of meetings, followed by the FOP Registry Medical Advisory Board and the IFOPA's International President's Council.

Then more than 150 academic researchers, clinicians and pharma and biotech representatives, as well as several FOP community advocates attended the FOP Drug Development Forum to share innovative research, foster collaboration and network with the goal of advancing therapies for people living with FOP.

The week wrapped up with 49 families, as well as clinicians, researchers, and pharma and biotech representatives (200 people in total) coming together at the FOP Family Gathering for general sessions, panel discussions and lots of small topical discussion groups.

Thursday evening included a Scientific Poster Reception, dinner and presentations about the IFOPA's mission-critical work to attendees from both groups. The room was full of people from 21 different countries and
included the IFOPA's Founder Jeannie Peeper and Founding Member Jack Sholund.

As we prepare to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, we are thankful for a community that values coming together to connect, learn and grow.
