1. Who is invited to register for the FOP Family Gathering?
All members of the FOP community are invited to register for this year’s Family Gathering. In addition to individuals living with FOP and their immediate family we invite, you to share the information to register with your extended family and support team, include health care professionals (i.e. doctors, dentists, therapists).
2. What equipment will I need to participate virtually?
You will need an internet connection and a computer, tablet or smartphone.
3. Am I able to ask a speaker or presenter questions?
There will be a digital Q&A box available in each session where you can type any questions you have as they come up.
4. Can I access translations from a mobile device?
Unfortunately, translations and webcast video and audio for Zoom meetings can not be accessed from a mobile device at the same time. To access translations and see the presenter's videos and slides during a presentation attendees using a mobile device will need a separate device to access translation services. With two mobile devices, attendees can stream audio, video, and translations simultaneously.
5. Will small group discussion sessions be recorded?
Small group discussion sessions taking place on Sunday, October 9 will be recorded with the exception of the Unseen Caregiver Documentary session. All Saturday small group discussion sessions will not be recorded for privacy reasons.
6. What if my question is not answered during the live session?
If your question is not answered live, you will receive a response and answer to your question within 72 hours from either the speaker or an IFOPA staff member.
7. How do I access the event after registering?
You will receive a link via email prior to the event for easy access. Please note, when clicking the link you will be prompted to enter the first name, last name and email address associated with your registration before entering the event. You will also be required to access a verification code which will be sent to your email or phone number provided in registration to complete the login process.
8. Will I have access to content after the event has ended?
Yes, all registered attendees have access to the virtual event and on-demand recordings of all general sessions for 90 days after the event.
9. Will any prizes be given out during the Virtual Family Gathering?
Yes! We want to encourage attendees to make the most of all that this wonderful event has to offer. Within the “Games” section of the virtual event you will find an opportunity to earn points and win a prize. Prizes will be awarded based on points earned by 6:30 pm EST on Sunday, October 9 and winners will be announced at the Share Your Strength Talent Show.
