Register for the Live Event on August 25 or 26
The success of the inaugural In Pursuit of a Cure Campaign was a big encouragement to Candace and Jason Hixson. Their son, Samson, has FOP and they’re committed to supporting research to make life better for him and everyone living with FOP.
The Hixsons are inspired by the progress underway thanks to the FOP community funding ACT for FOP grants for drug development research as well as the IFOPA’s first gene therapy initiative. They now want to see that work continue by chairing In Pursuit of a Cure 2021 — Investing in Progress. Believing in Hope.
“As parents of a child with FOP, we’re grateful the IFOPA is pursuing every road toward treatments and a cure — and we hope you’ll join us to keep this momentum going strong,” said Jason.
Please be a part of In Pursuit of a Cure 2021. It will take all of us doing what we can to raise $300,000 to fund this year’s ACT for FOP drug development grants and start phase two of the gene therapy research.
Get the Facts. Spread the Word. Take Action.
- Register for the special live video event on August 25 or 26 where we’ll share updates on current research funded by ACT for FOP drug development grants, advancements being made in gene therapy for FOP in just one year and stories of resilience, courage and hope from families living with FOP.
- Invite family and friends to join you for the live event so they’re inspired to take part in this important campaign.
- Make your donation to support research and create a personal fundraising page you can send to others so they can contribute too.
To kick off In Pursuit of a Cure 2021, generous friends of the IFOPA are providing a matching gift of $50,000! This means you can make a gift today that will be DOUBLED to have twice the impact.
“Let’s continue Investing in Progress and Believing in Hope,” Candace says.
“Let’s create a world where not a single child has to live with the shadow of FOP over their future.”
