Both donations and social media outreach break records
Thanks to our amazing FOP community supporters, we broke major milestones with the 2020 Awareness Day campaign!
With over 225 individual gifts, plus our generous matching gift, more than $102,000 was given during the month of April. This means we can do even more to raise awareness of FOP and prevent misdiagnosis which can cause so much confusion and pain…we can provide more life-changing support to people with FOP and their families…and we can accelerate the funding of research for treatments and a cure.
In addition, the community really embraced the 24 Days of FOP Awareness Day Challenges. FOP Awareness Day posts had a combined reach of more than 107,300 — more than any other Awareness Day campaign. As always, more people engage with the IFOPA on Facebook, but interaction on Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn continues to grow.
- Facebook — Reach of more than 83,250
- Twitter — Reach of 13,000
- Instagram — Reach of more than, 7,200
- LinkedIn — Reach of more than 3,800
The facts, videos and photos were highly engaging and received nearly 6,000 shares, likes and comments.
And to top it all off, there were 23 Facebook fundraising campaigns that raised more than $15,500.
