Tele-mentoring Webinar on FOP Offers CME Credit

Invite Your Local Physician

TeleECHO is an educational series started by the University of New Mexico that builds the capacity of physicians to safely and effectively diagnose and treat a variety of common and rare conditions.

In 2019, the Rare Bone Disease TeleECHO Clinic Series was founded by the Rare Bone Disease Alliance, of which the IFOPA is a member.

On June 4 they will hold a live tele-mentoring webinar on FOP led by Dr. Ed Hsiao, University of California, San Francisco.

These events are open to both researchers and clinicians; they are NOT for patients. However, as a member of the FOP community you can play an important role by inviting your local physician to participate. You can send an email to your local physician with a link to this page or print out and mail the Rare Bone Disease TeleECHO flier.

No matter how you deliver the invite to your local physician, include a note encouraging them to attend. This event is open to all physicians, no matter where they live, but will only be presented in English.

In the online TeleECHO session, Dr. Hsiao will present a brief presentation, followed by participant-led case presentations and group discussion of the presented cases.

In addition to having the opportunity to learn from FOP experts and ask questions, this free event provides your physician 1 hour of CME (Continuing Medical Education) Credit.

Date & Time: June 4 at 3 pm Eastern Time
Featuring: Ed Hsiao, MD, PhD
Cost: Free, but attendees must register in advance

If your physician is unable to attend, they can click this link to view the recorded presentation after June 4.
