We know that the FOP community has faced the heartfelt loss of loved ones since the very beginning. As each year passes, the cumulative effect and depths of those losses continue to grow. The recent passing of several members of our FOP family so closely together has highlighted the pain and hurt we all feel in our hearts. In collaboration with Sharon Neumann, Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist and sibling of a Founding Member of the IFOPA Nancy Sando, the IFOPA is planning a virtual gathering to honor the FOP journey. This time will offer a safe space for FOP community members to come together in their shared sense of loss to hear from Sharon and share with one another in small group discussions.
Who: FOP Community Members (family, friends and clinicians of those who have lost a loved one with FOP)
When: To accommodate the global FOP community we will hold two separate virtual gatherings. Both meetings will have the same structure and content.
Saturday, May 22 from 8 am to 10 am EDT
Saturday, May 22 from 4 pm to 6 pm EDT
Where: Both meetings will be held on Zoom Video Conferencing. Based on the feedback provided in the interest survey, content and discussion sessions will only be presented in the English language.
