Why?

Imagine being 13 years old, a great student and athlete, then finding out that you have a disease that slowly calcifies every muscle and connective tissue in your body, encasing you in a second skeleton. This is the reality that Ashley, a child in the Capital Region, is now facing upon being diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP). FOP is one of the most rare and debilitating genetic diseases. It leaves a person immobile. Currently there is no cure for this condition, but we are getting closer! It is our hope that Ashley's community can rally behind her so that the money brought in can go directly to finding a cure.
