We use Google Analytics on ifopa.org. Google Analytics is software that collects data allowing us to create a website that is most relevant to our FOP community.
Google Analytics records:
- What website led you to ifopa.org.
- How long you stayed visiting the site.
- What kind of computer you’re using.
- And more.
How this data is used:
The tracking information allows us to better understand who visits the site and what content they are reading, allowing us to make decisions to improve the content, images and writing.
On occasion, we will compile statistics about the number of visitors this site receives and browsers being used. No personal identifying data is included in this type of reporting.
All of this activity falls within the bounds of the Google Analytics Terms of Service.

Collection of email information:
You have the opportunity to sign up to receive email distributions from IFOPA. If you decide you no longer wish to receive them, there is a link in each email that allows you to unsubscribe.
What we do with the information we collect:
We do not provide email lists to any third party.
We may/will provide the information gathered from Google Analytics in promotional and marketing materials for ifopa.org (i.e., number of visitors, pages visited, length of time spent on the website, etc.). No information that identifies any individual is included in the information we receive from Google Analytics.

To support the operations of the IFOPA and its affiliated organizations, we use third-party tools such as Airtable and Make.com to manage and analyze social media data. These tools enable us to:
- Access and analyze social media insights and metrics provided by Meta (e.g., page impressions, likes, comments).
- Facilitate content publishing on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
- Automate processes to improve efficiency for participating organizations.
What Data We Collect and Process:
Through the Meta API, we may collect and process the following data:
- Social media insights (e.g., impressions, engagement metrics).
- Social media content and post details (e.g., captions, links, and media).
- Public profile information (e.g., usernames, profile pictures).
How the Data Is Used:
The data is used solely for:
- Generating aggregated analytics reports.
- Publishing content as directed by IFOPA or participating organizations.
- Enhancing the efficiency of social media campaigns.
Data Sharing and Storage:
Data collected through the Meta API is processed and stored securely within Airtable and Make.com. Access to this data is limited to authorized personnel from IFOPA and participating organizations. We do not share this data with any other third parties unless required by law.

Changes to privacy policy:
If we make a change with regard to sharing email addresses, IFOPA will contact you ahead of time and provide you an opportunity to opt out.
