Join us for the first-ever In Pursuit of a Cure Day of Giving on September 17!
Since 1990, the IFOPA has been funding the best FOP research for treatments and, ultimately, a cure. We’ve been innovators, seeking out and funding the most advanced and promising research. Five years ago, we innovated once again when we funded the first gene therapy grants for FOP through the In Pursuit of a Cure campaign.
Together, we have made great strides in the last 34 years. But we want to go beyond managing symptoms to developing multiple treatment options to stop flare-ups and the growth of extra bone — and we need your help.
This year, we are raising $360,000 — with 100% of every dollar raised going directly to research.
Your Generosity:
-
Funds the next scientific discovery that unlocks new information about FOP
-
Helps discover options to stop flare-ups and the growth of extra bone
-
Aids in the search to find treatment options to manage pain
-
Supports the investigation of imaging alternatives to develop new approaches for measuring FOP bone formation
-
Ultimately, paves the way for one day finding a cure
Join us on September 17, the In Pursuit of a Cure Day of Giving, to create a more hopeful tomorrow for everyone impacted by FOP.
“While FOP might limit some of the things I can do, it doesn’t define who I am.
On September 17, we can make sure research continues — so more kids like me can keep doing the things we love!”
Be part of the next FOP breakthrough.
As one of the largest funders of FOP research, nearly two-thirds of the IFOPA’s annual budget is dedicated to funding the highest-quality research, providing research tools, hosting scientific meetings and engaging the FOP community.
