Because of your passion, your spirit, and your unwavering belief in this community, our In Pursuit of a Cure community effort has officially raised an amazing $475,000 to fund FOP research and empower scientists!

This is YOUR victory. It is a powerful testament to what we can achieve when we stand together.

This journey was led with incredible heart and dedication. We owe a special thank you to our Chairs, Erin and Jon Krisman. Inspired by their son, Ethan, they graciously shared their family's story, which became the powerful sense of purpose that motivated us all.

We also want to give a HUGE shout-out to our incredible Ambassador, Bernadette Dimaano. Her tireless energy was felt both on-screen and behind the scenes. From co-hosting live streams and starring in videos to providing expert guidance that helped us reach a wider audience on social media, she shared the real, vibrant, and unstoppable spirit of those living with FOP and inspired so many to join the cause.

And the leadership didn't stop there. We want to celebrate the 21 incredible community fundraisers who stepped up to lead their own Community Campaigns, including the 11 champions who used our new Blackout Boards to make giving easy and fun!

This great effort was also powered by the incredible voices who so bravely and generously shared their stories, expertise, and hope with all of us. From Dr. Mark Hamilton's exciting research update to the personal stories from Dr. Bob Pignolo, Holly LaPrade, Mark Gambaiana, Natalie Kuhn, the Russell Family, the Webb Family, an update from Nick Bogard, and Adam Richwine, you brought this pursuit to life and reminded us of the powerful community behind the science.

Jon, Erin, and Bernadette, alongside every community fundraiser and storyteller, are shining examples of the 35-year legacy of hope that started with the Bogard family and continues today with every one of you.

The heart of this great effort was always the profound "why" that unites us. It’s the impossible balance so many of you know—whether for yourself or a loved one—the fight to stay safe without giving up life’s joys. It’s the universal heartbreak every family feels when, like Ricky Webb, they want to "fix it" but can’t.

The incredible support shown throughout this movement is a direct answer to the stories and experiences that unite this community. It’s the funding that creates a future with more joy and empowers the scientists who are working to fix it for good.

This was truly a global pursuit, with supporters joining us from the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy, Greece, and beyond. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU played a vital role in this success.
