Merck사에서 갑짜기 Vioxx를 회수하게 됨에 따라 FOP사회 모든분들과 특히 FOP재발을 방지하고 FOP로 인한 고통을 감소시키기 위하여 사용하는 분들께는 커다란 혼란과 염려가 되고 있습니다. Merck사에서 마켓으로 부터 이 의약품을 회수한 것을 고려할때, 우리들로서는 사용의 중단을 권장할 수 밖에 없습니다. 18세가 넘는 성인들께는 Celebrex나 Bextra 같은 다른 COX-2 억제제를 추천합니다. 그러나, 안타깝게도 현재로서는 어린이들이 복용할 수 있는 이러한 의약품들이 없습니다. 그래서 저희들은 가능한 빨리 비스테로이드 항염제제와 COX-2 억제제들에 대한 모든 가능한 정보자료를 검토하여 아이들이 복용할 수 있는 대체약품을 추천해 드리겠습니다.
