Stride to Cure FOP
Petoskey Bayfront Park, Michigan
Saturday, May 10, 2008
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Nancy Sando resides in Petoskey, MI. Diagnosed at age five, Nancy is one of the 405 people worldwide challenged with FOP. She has made it one of her missions to share her independence. She is victorious over insurmountable physical limitations and has written several “how to” guides to promote, educate and inspire others. She was married to Andy Sando, who also had FOP, for 14 years until his untimely death five years ago. Among her other passions are her church and nurturing children in her community, as well as educating others by sharing her story in many formats.
Register to join the 'party' of walkers and runners, who will 'Stride to Cure FOP'. The Stride will start at the Petoskey Bayfront Park . Our “Home Plate” will be under the Big Clock Tower. This is where you can register (if you haven't already done so!). There will also be FOP Stride t-shirts available to the first sixty participants.

The course will be identified by balloons placed along side the Little Traverse Wheelway path and the turn around spot will be approximately 1 mile at the Bay View Tennis Courts…. roughly a 2 mile path done at your own pace.
If you can't be at the park, you can still 'Stride to Cure FOP' on May 10. Simply register by May 1 and indicate in the registration form that you're striding elsewhere . This way, you will still receive your Stride to Cure FOP T-shirts in time for the event. Thanks for taking that extra ‘step.'
Stride to Cure FOP shirts will be provided to all registrants (limit to first 60 participants). We kindly request that registered individuals raise a minimum of $50 in total pledges and registered families raise at least $150; all moneys will be collected and submitted to the IFOPA by May 31. A rewards program will also be available for those interested.
Our ultimate goal and hope is to have one strider per FOP member in the IFOPA community! Of the world's 600 known members, 405 belong to the IFOPA. Let's STRIDE TO CURE FOP for them all.
