Saturday, May 10, is FOP member Justin Henke's birthday. Diagnosed at age 6.5, Justin, of Middletown, DE, will turn 8 on May 10th. Joining the 'party' is newly diagnosed (3.17.08) Nathaniel Padilla of Cecil County, MD, whose fourth birthday is just five days later, on May 15. Celebrating with the 'masters' of ceremony, will be young Miss Jordyn Bugarin, diagnosed with FOP at age 2.5 and now 4.5, of Baltimore County, MD.
Register to join the 'party' of walkers and runners, who will 'Stride to Cure FOP' along 2.75-miles of paved trails at the new Glasgow Park in Delaware (just 3 miles South of I-95, off Delaware Exit #1). Kids can ride their bikes or scooters, and leashed dogs can em'bark' to raise support for FOP, too. You may stride anytime from dawn to dusk while at the park.
If you can't be at the park, you can still 'Stride to Cure FOP' on May 10. Simply register by May 1 and indicate in the registration form that you're striding elsewhere. This way, you will still receive your Stride to Cure FOP T-shirts in time for the event. Thanks for taking that extra step.'
