Fourth International
FOP Symposium
J.W. Marriott, Orlando, FL
August 16 - 19, 2007
Together, We Can Move Mountains!
The IFOPA's Fourth Symposium is right around the corner! We hope you are looking forward to this grand event. This Symposium is focused on the FOP family, the celebration of the gene discovery and how Together, We Can Move Mountains. This grand event takes several years of planning and fundraising and without the effort of so many volunteers, doctors and devoted families, it would not be possible.
The Symposium will be action-packed and include the following:
- Medical Educational Research Clinics where patients and their families will be seen by researchers and doctors from across the globe in an effort to help educate medical personnel more on FOP
- A Medical Research Study that will help the research effort move forward
- Special Care Clinics where patients can get a free consultation on dental, orthodontic, occupational therapy and/or physical therapy solutions
- Family workshops for everyone covering topics that help make living with FOP easier
- A Resource Center filled with tools, gadgets, resources, vendors and solutions for everyday living issues
- Dr. Kaplan's research update, evening entertainment, childcare, awards and presentations
- Much, much more.
We hope you will join us at this special event. By clicking on the links found on this page, you will be able to learn details on specific areas of the Symposium. For those unanswered questions, go to our “Symposium Question & Answer Sheet” button to learn more.
Registration packets will be sent to all IFOPA members in April 2007. Registration closes July 9, 2007.
The Symposium is limited to the first 450 people registered . If you are not a member of the IFOPA and would like to attend the Symposium, contact the IFOPA's Executive Director Linda Daugherty at lindaifopa@bellsouth.net to become a member and get on the mailing list NOW!
